So I borrowed the wrong book by Toni Morrison from the library for The fiction of Relationship course. It turns out they don’t have the right one, Beloved, and because of lack of time, I chose to skip to the next and last reading, Disgrace by J. M. Coetzee. That was a lucky choice, because I quite like the book and it’s magic I can read it with the third volume of Game of Thrones waiting beside my bed table.
Eventually, I finished it on my ride to Craiova, and it’s really strong. The writing is good, the feelings are real, the characters complex. I find its emphasis on animal suffering quite interesting, too.
